The End of a Sabbatical

Dear blog,

Yes, I am alive. I know you've probably been worried and I might've given you a few virtual grey hairs, but I've been... well, alive. I've been living. I haven't been capturing it all down like I promised I would, but I've gone through some new experiences -- some of which have gone particularly pear shaped -- and just survived.

Considering the last time I blogged it was August of last year (it didn't seem like that much of a long time ago), I should give you a crash course on what's happened since then:

  • I went to the Phillippines. It was a surprise for my grandma.
  • I got tickets to see One Direction this year! They're coming on my birthday.
  • I've watched the first two episodes of the revamped Doctor Who, and then I got hooked onto NCIS instead.
  • I've always been into NCIS, I just haven't been a fangirl for it.
  • Now I sorta am.
  • (Under Covers is buffering as I type.)
  • I went to Mildura. It is a long-ass roadtrip from Melbourne, let me tell you.
  • I successfully passed year ten.
  • (I know, it's a miracle to me too.)
  • I didn't even fail maths.
  • I won an award in Media.
  • My mother has the golden touch and won the house at Torquay for me and 40 guests. I still haven't used it yet.
  • I bummed out for the whole summer.
  • I started year eleven and I'm currently taking English, Literature, Methods, Chemistry, Media and Legal Studies.
  • They wouldn't let me take Biology 3&4 because my maths scores were shit.
  • I didn't argue. I knew they were shit.
  • I finished my first term of year eleven and it was tiring as shit.
  • I read To Kill A Mockingbird and I think it's one of the best classical books I've ever read.
  • (I haven't read a lot of classical books, so I think it'll be a favourite.)
  • I cried over Percy and Annabeth falling into Tartarus.
  • Don't worry, I'm still forever alone and betrothed to a potato.
  • Too many fictional characters have made me cry at this point.
  • I've got glasses (to read with because I get headaches).
There's a whole lot of other stuff that's happened too that I probably don't even remember, can't put into dot points or coherent words, and things... well, I probably wouldn't talk about over the net. So now you're caught up on what I've been doing in my life since August.

I'd seen a friend's new blog and I considered making another one, but I decided against it. It will be interesting to see how my writing style's changed and everything. I'm still a nutcase, honestly. I just think I'm a lot more deep now.(Maybe, we'll have to find out.) Besides, the blog is called 'An Unauthorised Autobiography'. People have to know how I've changed and developed over the course of the few months.

We'll see how much I end up blogging because I am a lazy shit who likes to procrastinate all the time, but you know, I did a good job of it, until I you know, gave up.

So that's it from me for now. I honestly can't believe it's been a year since I made this blog (well, it will be in 29 days), and I really don't understand why my blog has 1,086 views. It's not like I'm interesting guys, come on. I think I blog mostly for my own benefit. To talk when no one's really listening, LOL.

We'll see how this goes.

Yours in weirdness,
Tash. x
