Hello, lovelies! How've you all been?
I know, I know. I've been rather slack with the posts lately, but that's because each time my holidays come around, I go into a hibernation period, with only brief occasions of facing the public. I can't help it - I'm rather introverted. And because of that, I haven't had anything rather interesting to blog about (well, some things have been rather interesting, I'm also too lazy). All the interesting stuff I've done (I wish) are all under the cut.
I think one of the highlights of my holidays was my hospital visit last Tuesday. No, I didn't have an accident or something. I was touring the labs, for a trip organised by RMIT. Since I really want to get into pathology/medical science when I got out of school, this was really exciting for me, and I probably fangirled a lot more than the others. Although I suspect it didn't look like it, because I was trying not to cough.
Anyway, I've become even more certain that medical science is the field I'd really like to get into, although I wouldn't know what I'd want to be specialised in (yes, there's specialties - I learnt that on the day). Either way, it got me really excited and now I know what I'm studying up for.
In other news, I have also watched Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. I've noticed I've watched a lot of movies lately, but I felt the need to review this one, considering the first two Ice Age movies were practically my childhood. I didn't think there would be a need for them to release a fourth one, much like how Shrek did, but I was severely mistaken on how well it flowed on with the rest of the series.
The major problem I had with it was that it revolved around Manny, Diego, Sid and Scrat (those are the three main characters, in case you've been living under a rock and haven't watched a single Ice Age movie) a little bit too much. Sure, it was understandable in the first one, but since Ice Age 2 there's also been Ellie, Crash and Eddie (Ellie's possum brothers). Ellie and the possums got less screentime than Manny and Ellie's daughter, Peaches. I suppose it was to highlight the fact Peaches is now a teenage mammoth, but I did miss Ellie and her possum family.
However, my two favourite characters from this movie where in fact the new ones that showed up: Louis the Molehog (Peaches friend, nicknamed Wiener by Peaches' father and uncles), and Sid's Grandma, known just as Granny. Here are pictures:

Speaking of movies, I do really need to watch The Amazing Spiderman. Because I felt the need to watch all the movies before it, I haven't watched The Avengers (I feel the 'HOW HAVE YOU LIVED' glares being sent in my direction, yes) but I will once it comes out on DVD! After I watch Thor, Iron Man 1 & 2 and Captain America.
I have also watched all the videos on JacksGap's channel, which I did today! Go me! The first video I watched of his was Twin Mail 2, which features Jack Harris and his twin brother, Finn a few weeks ago. There are 25 videos on his channel, they're not really hard to get through if you have a few hours. I say, get on it!*
Besides that, I'm trying to move the desk I got about a month or so back into my room properly. Until then, it's in an awkward position, ready for me to start doing my homework on, which I need to do. Apparently, there might be a biology test as soon as I come back from school... welp. I generally have to get ready for school again, but I'm trying to hide from the reality, because I'm not really ready for school yet. Term 2 wounds you badly.
It's also my birthday on Sunday, which I'm both excited for and dreading. I honestly don't think I have the mental capacity to be 16, so I'm trying to look for the positives. I still haven't gotten off my sorry butt and found a job, something that I have to do as well. Growing up sucks. Ugh. This is why I laugh hysterically in children's movies.
Anyway, enough with the moaning! I'm done just babbling, LOL. I'll be going now, hopefully I'll have something interesting to blog about soon!
Yours in weirdness,
Tash.
*WARNING: In watching JackGap's channel, you may feel the need to marry Jack Harris, his brother Finn, or both of them. The people most prone to this are those who are vulnerable to falling for British teenagers. Approach the channel with caution.
